10 seeds

Musquée de Provence squash is known as the “Fairytale Pumpkin” because its appearance resembles Cinderella’s carriage.

Deeply ribbed and flattened, this squash has an almost magical shape. It looks just like the enchanted pumpkins pictured in the most whimsical storybooks!

Musquée de Provence is a large winter squash prized for its sweet, fragrant flesh with very little fibre. An heirloom variety originating in southern France, it is loved for its large, deeply ribbed fruits and dense, flavourful flesh.

Its round, flattened, deeply ribbed fruits turn from glossy dark green to ochre or copper as they mature. The thick, bright orange flesh is firm, very sweet, and not mealy, with a subtle hint of melon. Exquisite!

Under ideal growing conditions, these large squash can weigh between 5 and 20 kg.

Storage: Excellent keeping quality throughout winter, often well into spring.
