60+ seeds

These enchanting little alpine beauties from mountainous regions are hardy perennials known for their tiny, pale sky-blue to indigo flowers with yellow centres.

Their tiny, nectar-rich blue flowers with yellow centres provide an excellent early-spring food source for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. They bloom abundantly in spring, then readily self-seed. Perfect for creating the charm of mountain wildflower meadows and the most magical, whimsical floral arrangements.

💐🌿All our seeds are carefully collected and selected by hand from flowers grown exclusively on Canadian flower farms and in our own garden. They are grown using 100% organic and natural methods, with respect for nature, without pesticides or chemicals, and are non-GMO.

SOWING AND GROWING TIPS:

Type: Perennial/biennial
Height: 15–25 cm
Soil: Moist, well-drained, poor
Light: Full sun | partial shade

SOWING:

Incredibly easy to grow, even in poor soil. You can start seeds indoors early in the season or sow directly in the garden.

Simply press the seeds into moist soil at a depth of approximately 3 mm, covering with a thin layer of soil. Keep moist until germination. To encourage their return each year, allow plants to go to seed naturally after flowering.

Direct sowing outdoors: Broadcast seeds on the soil surface between June and late August. Rain will carry them down to the appropriate depth. The seedlings will germinate, overwinter, bloom the following spring, and then go to seed.

Start indoors: 8–10 weeks before the last frost.
Germination time: 6–14 days
Sowing depth: 0.1 cm, with a very thin covering.
Germination temperature: 15–22°C
